RAIA Talk by Adam Russell on The Suburbs

Mind the Gaps – Density & Suburbia – Tuesday 8 April
Suburban sprawl, increased density and the perceived conflict between opportunities and demands is a critical topic that successive local and state governments seemingly continue to ignore, save for needlessly panicking about it during media cycles. Instead of inertia and/or business as usual, this talk looks at new housing typologies, affordability, multi-generational living, community facilities and infrastructure, treating the suburbs not as an endless land bank, but as part of an integrated and porous city with both density and open space.

Curator: Tom Rivard
Moderator: Tim Williams
Speakers: Adam Haddow (SJB) and Adam Russell (RAW)
