SES HQ in Marrickville almost completed

Time for an update on the construction of the Marrickville SES Headquarters building – A project we have spent a lot of time on of late. Contractors are around a month off completion and it’s great to see the finishing trades wrapping up on site. See the full project HERE.

SES_Angled_Facade

Triple-glazed facade of the Members Area looking onto the “low-water” native garden along Railway Road. Boundary line relics recall the row of grand terraces that once lined this frontage. Landscape by Aspect.

SES_Approach

The “Traumatised Shed” design concept for the project is perhaps best described in this shot. A simple, cost effective industrial building with corners and edges augmented to signal building occupation.

SES_Members_Area

The Members Area, a sun-filled interior.

SES_Orange_Facade

Contextually sensitive design – industrial orange!
